Let's answer a few questions about Calogero Dean. Yes, he is from Texas but he's not from Houston. He's from Tyler but currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. No, he hasn't been making music since he was an embryo. He didn't take rapping seriously until about 2001. Yes, his name is taken from a movie but he chose the name because the character in question (Calogero 'C' Anello) chose good over evil. His style could be described as "Blue Collar" or "Every-man rap." He takes elements from everyday life and makes it entertaining. His biggest influences are Bill Withers, Curtis Mayfield, Jay-Z, Pigeon John, The Shins (they changed his life), and Radiohead.
